Feingold: The Lonesome Dem

At least one Democrat in Congress has the courage to call President Bush on his illegal domestic spying activities. Too bad his colleagues have no spine.

Can nobody stand up to these criminals? What do they have to do before we see some outrage? Create another 9/11?

Kudos to Senator Feingold...and to hell with the rest of the cowards!

Feingold for President in 2008!

UPDATE: Three cheers to Molly Ivins for a brilliant statement on the state of affairs in D.C. among Democrats. She hits the nail, as usual, right on the head and drives it straight home! Read it HERE.

Sigh.

[beats head against wall]

Classic Democrats. They have no freaking clue. No clue. You know, I'm beginning to think that, in some of these guys offices, there's a picture of W.'s ass. And every time, every time there's an issue they need to fight on; every time there's an opportinuity to sack up and show a pair; every time that comes to hold this Administration to account?

They grab the picture and pucker up.

These people make me sick. I've been registered to vote six years as a (D), and I have considered quitting--changing to an (I). But you know what? That's what the YellerCrats would do--quit, before the battle's been fought.

Yes, the desire to assert one's "independence" is extremely inviting. If Bush had been a Democrat, he'd have been tarred and feathered and run out of D.C. LONG ago by the Republicans. But turn the tables around and Democrats can't seem to screw up any outrage over things that, arguably, should put a bunch of people in prison for a very long time.

There comes a time when one has to stand on principle and say, "To Hell", with the consequences. That's what we need from our Democratic leaders. Sadly, they seem to be mostly useless. How discouraging and disheartening.

Could he be doing this not so much out of virtue but as a pauper's tactic to hustle up free publicity? Ya know, getting his John Doe trademarked for an Oval Office bid in 08?

Hey, M1, a little free pub never hurts, though I doubt that's the motivation. If it were, others would have been lining up for the same. As you know, politicos are whores when it comes to two things: attention and money.

Energize the Kossacks.

Now that's a winning strategy.

Will Markos Zuniga put his financial muscle behind Feingold in '08 so he can push his losing streak into the 30's?
